Hello Spartan community,
With the first round of exams slowly approaching, I thought it would be best to post my board report a little earlier than usual.
You can find it as an image or file at the bottom of this post.
As mentioned last time, student government elections are just about ready to begin. For those of you who are interested in running, you can pick-up an application packet either at the Student Government Suite in the Diaz Compean Student Union or A.S. House. The deadline to submit all necessary documents is still at 4:00 p.m. on March 10.
Furthermore, please be sure to also attend one of the five mandatory orientation sessions. These sessions are intended to inform you about the history of Associated Students and the additional aspects to this year’s elections. With session one already concluded, the next scheduled session is on Wednesday, February 22, from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. in Student Union Room 3A. You can find the dates and times for the remaining three sessions at http://as.sjsu.edu/asgov/index.jsp?val=vig.
Finally, at the Board Meeting this upcoming Wednesday, nominated candidates for the two vacant Board positions (i.e. Director of Co-curricular Affairs, Director of Student Rights & Responsibilities) could potentially be voted in. Stop by Room 1A of the Diaz Compean Student Union at 3:00 p.m. this upcoming Wednesday and see it all unfold.
If you have any questions regarding the activities, please feel free to email me (firstname.lastname@example.org). Thank you.
